Fridge Tag

Tagged by Planethalder to reveal the contents of my fridge. Phew, this took a lot of trips back and forth to my fridge since I don’t have a clue anymore as my mother is in-charge of my kitchen and shopping for the kitchen too. Sadly, not for long.

Pomegranate juice, apple and mango juice
Apple juice (Coppella, no other brand tastes as good)
Peach and pear juice concentrate, tropical summer fruits juice concentrate (for my daughter)
Cucumbers, peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, runner beans, organic mushrooms, carrots, beetroot, plantain, a lovely big aubergine, tomatoes, tomatoes-on-the-vine
Lots of Indian veggies (all of whose English names I don’t know) – okra, gawar, dudhi, tondli, methi
Garlic cloves
Ginger, lemons, green chillies
Coriander, curry leaves
Idli batter
Harissa from the street market in Cambridge
Unsalted butter, Welsh butter straight from a Welsh farm
Marks & Spencer green pesto sauce
Semi-skimmed milk, lots of yoghurt pots (natural)
Plum jam, again from the street market in Cambridge
Home-made green chilli pickle (I made it !!)
Organic free range eggs
Neem sticks (which my father uses to clean his teeth, in addition to toothpaste. Has been doing for years)
Teether (my daughter’s - apparently keeping it cold aids the teething process)
Left over food – onion sambar, potato sabzi, lemon rice

apparently he had spoken with his parents and they threatned to kill themselves..how dramatic can indian parents get...and when i just mentioned that I was in love with a non hindu my parents had thrown me out, yes along with my clothes...with all the neighbours looking on and tsking at me....we just want to live our lives and be happy in the process, what is so unacceptable about it?? I wished there was some way....

@ Planethalder - my fridge is about the same size as your fridge - just stuffed to the brim !
@ Anju - now that you mention it, yes. We always buy different ones thinking that the little one will like to drink it, but end up drinking it ourselves !!
@Southways - you would, wouldnt you, considering you are not eating !!!
@ timepass - thanks. You should take up the tag too, its fun.
@ Mumbaigirl - Will find out and let you know. I dont use it - my father does.
@ Childwoman - Its hard to believe that parents are like that in this day and age. Gosh, it truly is sad. Just hope that something works out. Take care.
